About Front Range Handyman

Hi, I’m Alastair Nisbet — owner of Front Range Handyman. I was born and raised in Aberdeen, Scotland and moved to St. Louis, Missouri over 20 years ago to raise my family, Caitlyn and Grant. During that time, I opened and operated two beloved restaurants: The Scottish Arms (2005) and The Shaved Duck (2008). I poured my heart into those places, not just as a chef and owner, but as a builder too — overseeing and helping construct all four restaurant buildouts with my own two hands.

But long before I was a restaurateur, I was a passionate woodworker. Carpentry, painting, and fixing things have always brought me peace and purpose. So after two decades in the hospitality world, I decided it was time for a new chapter — one that let me focus on craftsmanship, community, and quality work.

Giving Back

“Philanthropy and helping others have always been at the heart of my work”

Even though Front Range Handyman is a smaller business, I’ve made a commitment to give back in a real and practical way.

Every month, I donate one full day of handyman services — which can be split into smaller projects — to individuals or families in need.

If you know someone who could use a helping hand around the house but doesn’t have the means to pay, please fill out this form. There’s no judgment, no red tape — just a willingness to help however I can.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about Front Range Handyman. I’d be honored to assist with your project — big or small — and I look forward to meeting you soon.

Sincerely & Slainte,

Alastair

Owner - Front Range Handyman

My family and I have been visiting Colorado for years — my sister, brother-in-law, niece, and nephew have lived in Louisville for over a decade — and making the move here has felt like coming home. Between the beautiful outdoors, great people, and the chance to be closer to loved ones, we couldn't be happier.

Front Range Handyman is my new venture for 2025, built on the same values I’ve always held: craftsmanship, integrity, cleanliness, and kindness. I show up on time, use the best materials, leave every job site spotless, and take real pride in my work.
